CH2M HILL Managed Services awarded $1 million contract to provide IT services for the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia

Denver, CO, June 2, 2006 – The City of Sandy Springs, Ga., has chosen CH2M HILL Managed Services as the outsourced IT service provider for the city’s network systems. As part of a $1 million five-year contract, CH2M HILL Managed Services will provide personnel as well as applications, security, disaster recovery and remote infrastructure support for all of the Sandy Springs’ IT needs.
Remote connectivity will allow CH2M HILL Managed Services to administer all desktops and application management of on-site servers from the Technical Operations Center located in the Denver, Colo. office with the goal of increasing productivity and reducing the city’s annual operations costs. Specifically, the firm will deploy the following solutions:
CH2M HILL Managed Services is currently responsible for processing of all city services issues; providing access and running the city’s computer network; hosting the city’s e-mail and Blackberry services; and construction and hosting of Web sites for the city and the mayor.
